ST. JAMES' WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

WOMEN OF THE CHURCH [or W.O.C.] is the women's organization of St. James' Episcopal Church.  Meetings are quarterly at 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday evening of January [weather permitting], April, July and October.  Devotions and a brief business meeting are followed by light refreshments and a social time.  Any woman attending St. James' is invited to attend.

The WOMEN OF THE CHURCH  are the force behind many of the events held at St. James' including weddings, funerals and special services -- coordinating food and workers to set the room, prepare and serve the food and restore it to order.  W.O.C. has also supported Rev. Brooks financially in his mission work in Honduras for well over twenty years, as well as local needs.  This organization -- and its predecessors St. Agnes Guild and St. James' Guild -- have lovingly cared for both the needs of the building called St. James' and the congregation calling it their spiritual home.
